Shows the complete lack of vision of Yahoo and why they're struggling to stay relevant despite once upon a time being the largest site on the web.
Geocities was positioned to evolve into something like myspace or facebook or any number of other communities. It was active, vibrant, and even required minimal overhead as they had moderators doing most of the work for 'em. And yahoo still managed to fuck it up. |
