I have a $100 chair from office depot. It is quite comfortable, and will last 12-18 months.
The last time I bought a $600 chair with all kinds of wonderful ergonomic features, it lasted me 12-18 months, with no appreciable benefits to my ass (or back or anything else). The law firm got tired of replacing my chairs at 12-18 months and spend even more for one. It lasted 20 months. I guess I have a destructive ass or something.
