Is this Ethical ?

Ok, yesterday, screwing around I posted on sobegirl's board as "newguyintown".

He replied to me, I posted the reply in the sobechatboard thread and Timon and I got a laugh.

This morning in my email is mail from Joe at AMAcontent pushing that he has the same content as Erik and I should buy from him.

The only way Joe got to the email address that was used was to go to Erik's board and pick it up there as I created an email addy and an icq addy just for newguyintown.

So, is this ethical, to grab addys off of someone else's board and try to market to them.

My opinion is that it is not. It is imo akin to someone leaving a company, goint to work for a headhunter and then recruiting from thier old company. It happens all the time, but it is quite less than ethical.

I could look at it as Erik wronged Joe, therefore Erik and his business are a legit target of Joe's and he can go after them any way he wants, but I usually prefer to see folks try to stay on the high ground when they are in the right.

In my opinion, at this point Joe has decided to jump down into the gutter to play Erik type games.

I am in the right or just overreacting (first cup of coffee and eyes still closed...)
