Man.... the NFL needs better refs

It's been one bad call after another in the post season. I don't think I've seen a poorer performance by NFL officials than I have throughout this seasons NFL playoffs and Super Bowl. Watching right now and if they don't overturn this fumble call on Hassleback they are so incompetent it isn't even funny.

Hahaha.. yeah. I would be happy if I was in your position too Mike. I have seen articles all over today just ripping into the officiating for the Super Bowl and the entire playoffs. Calls that either did or very nearly cost teams games.

The officiating was horrendus! Two big calls from yesterday that would have completely changed the outcome of the game: The Seahawks touchdown that was taken away because of "offensive pass interferance" was bullshit, and the one that gave the Steelers the TD with the QB Sneak was bullshit -- The way the ball was juggling around within his arm, IT never crossed the plane -- His elbow did, yes, but the ball NEVER did. The side angle of that shows clearly that the ball was moving around within his arm and does not get over the line, while the other angle shows that his elbow did indeed cross the line, so the ref had to assume that the ball crossed as well.

There was plenty of holding and pass interferance calls yesterday that were NOT made - of course, I can imagine that they were a bit scared to make any PI calls after the call that "ruined the Pats chances against the Broncos" with Asante Samuel getting called for PI against Ashlie Lelie in the endzone -- even though I'm a Broncos fan, that was really close to being a dumb call...They both had ahold of each other, and it looked more like Lelie pushed his arms within the defenders to make it look like PI when he knew he wasn't going to make it to catch the ball.

Then of course there was the "interception that was then wasn't then was"...I think the NFL felt like they had to make that up by letting a majority of calls go in the Steelers favor for the rest of the playoffs...

Seahawks had the better team, but played the worse 2nd half - but then again, they didn't have the refs in their pocket.

and yes I agree Seattle made several mistakes, but this is a question of momentum

and timing.

and thiose mistakes were only made after they were robbed and lost their composure.

That Pass interference call was pure bullshit... and that phantom touchdown was the last straw....

LOL atleast not in the last 5 minutes of the game yesterday...

It was a ref's game, no doubt...And the team that the NFL wanted to win was knocked out in the 2nd weekend of the playoffs, so they did the next best thing and let the team that beat them win...
