Mambo CMS Questions

I know everyone has their favorite CMS's, but my new client uses Mambo, which looks pretty cool.

For the Mambo CMS I am trying to find out the following:

1. Does it allow for the insertion of fields into the database along with a multi-search function?

For example, I want to have fields for a model's body attributes, such as breast size, eye color, hair color, etc., and the user can search for content on any or all of these fields.

2. Payment Processor / Member's Section:

I need to tie in a payment processor with a member's section and have it work as follows. There are articles with pictures. Non-nude pics are free. Thumbnails linking to nudes and video are for members only. Links to the paid content are on the free side, contained in the article with the enticement to join when they are clicked.

I think the way to affect this on the site is to use a session id rather than htaccess. When links to paid content are clicked a page is loaded asking for login or to join.

a. Is this the right way to do it?
b. After logging in or joining I need to direct them back to page they were on. How do I do this?
c. Any recommendations on an offshore payment processor that integrates with Mambo?

Any help or a point in the right direction is appreciated.

A tad confused, KevinG. Mambo looks to be a mainstream CMS (like Post Nuke or PHP Nuke), not an adult one. But it sounds like you're in need of an adult CMS. ?

Dravyk - There's much more to it than I described. The site is not by any means a standard adult site. I do appreciate that you have a CMS for adult sites. I admit, I haven't reviewed it at this point, but it is noted for future exploration.

The site I am trying to develop is more of an online magazine targeted to men interested in "adult travel".

There's two guys that travel all over Latin America, partying and having sex with different women, all the while chronicling their adventures with pics, video and text articles to be posted on their site.

The site can be used like a trip planner, whereby one can get information on a specific city destination, where to find the girls, ratings on different places and so on.

There will be several searchable articles. Everyone has access to the full articles and limited database searches. You have to be a paid member to see nudity and explicit videos.

Sounds interesting, KevinG. Not just saying that either.

Also sounds that it really is a hyrbrid. You might need an adult CMS for the members area and a mainstream one for the outside. Either way, I doubt that one system only is going to work for that ... unless you get something built to your specs.

Let me know how it turns out. As said, it really does sound interesting and you've got me curious now.
