Take PCP out of the incident and that might have worked. Once it is in the body of the person they are attempting to apprehend, then "all bets are off" as to what kind of force needs to be applied.

Do the Cinnci cops have a tendency to get overly violent against minorities? It's very possible. Should this case be used as an example of that? Not only no, but HELL no.

Look, let's cut the crap and BS here. Many of us know cops, and know they go into the job knowing the risks, and they love the rush they get off of getting to play fucking God with people. Every cop I've talked to says chases and pursuits are like having sex to them. It gives them a big rush. Same thing when they get to pull out the clubs and play planet of the apes on black folks and hispanics.

Who's kidding who here. The cops overdoing it even though its clear they weren't being overly vicious by hitting him on the head or anything is what caused this guy to die that day.

He was just a fuckup out on someone's property that should have been picked up by specialized law enforcement people with the tools and training to handle people on PCP.

Its just not cool that no matter what the situation unless there is direct gun fire and the like, that 6 cops need to pounce on one guy to make him do what they say.

If we let this stuff continue where does it end?

I witnessed a bunch of cops beat the living hell out of a bum in downtown LA years ago. The guy was drunk and kicked over a trash can and the trash spilled onto the street. He was mouthing off to the cop that pulled over and tossed a bottle on the ground that smashed. Next thing you know there are a pack of cops on this poor old tard with their nightsticks out pounding this guy even though he had stopped moving. Everyone who was watching figured the guy was dead because we all got the hell out of there fast because the cops turned and look to see who was witnessing it and had looks in their eyes like get the fuck out of here, this never happened.

I'll never forget that incident.
