How do I encode or stream my videos so that the viewer can drag the timeline slider ahead and the video will re-buffer and pick up at that point?
Do I need to something when I encode the video? Or do I need to be running a Windows Media Server for this functionality? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. |

To be able to do this in a .wmv file the file has to be correctly 'indexed' To index a WMV file yourself use the Windows Media File Editor utility. (previously known as Advanced Script Indexer)
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme.../utilities.aspx Scroll to the bottom of the page for info.
