Like it or not, SiteFinder, Verisign's 'service' where it replaces all non-found web addresses with it's own search/advertising page is likely to be allowed by ICANN.

Because they will PILE in the money when this goes live again...

"McLaughlin said VeriSign has not yet made any decisions on if and when it would seek ICANN's approval for Site Finder."

The agreement would make it so they need to seek approval of new products from ICANN...

Yes, but ICANN have indicated they will likely agree. Also VeriSign are waffling about "not yet made any decisions" - they know thar's gold in them thar hills!

Robin, old age is getting to you.

The SE is dead. The big problem is going to be 7% inflation on domains names every year till 2012. Big domain holders do the math on that one.
