Originally posted by voodooman@Apr 9 2005, 05:48 PM Im in Oklahoma. Im still a cop, working drug interdiction now.
As much as I loved doing adult sites, the cop thing is much more
exciting.
Im looking to get out of this place though, lots of excitment for a
small town, but I just don't agree with the way the Department is
being ran, not to mention the pay sucks here.
Well, don't bother trying up here. Saw an ad this morning on TV trying to get some new Cops. Starting pay for the KCMO department is 35k.
They would have to pay me a whole lot more money than that to run around getting shot at (of course the shooting back part is very appealing, but who needs the paperwork hassle )
LOL we'll do. In the mean time, Ill be around, but if I dont answer for
several days, its not because Im ignoring anyone, just that I work 12
hour shifts, 7pm to 7am so I sleep all day half the week, but I will get
back with you eventually.
Make big money on your Domains! Why wait 40 days to get paid with the other guys? Parked.com pays the most for your traffic, and cuts checks twice a month!

Been almost a year now since I became a cop, and looks like Ill
be a cop till the day I die. I just dont really care for the uniform. haha
I'll post some pics later of some recent drug and money seizures.
On second thought, maybe not, it might get me shot. haha

He always had that one bullet in his pocket
lolol...when I was in the Navy, it was like that. In saboteur situations, they'd hand us a 45 or a riot gun and hand us a clip or some buckshot and then tell us "You can't load it unless the watch officer says to"
Oh yeah, if you thought we weren't loading the weapons when we were heading outside at 3 in the morning with sirens going off all over the place and noone knowing if it was a drill or not. Right.

Its a good job, but getting difficult to NOT fuck up in todays society.
Everyone is watching us and making sure we dont cross any lines.
Its bullshit actually. Just recently there was an officer in NM that was
convicted of 1st deg. murder.
Story goes, and keep in mind, everything was on video tape. 2 Albuquerque
police officers respond to a shots fired call. The 2 arrive to see a man standing
in the front yard with a gun. The officers exit their patrol car and immediately
start taking fire. The partner of the police officer that was driving was struck and
killed by the suspect. The driver then fires 3 shots, 2 in the chest one in the head, killing the suspect. A jury just convicted the police officer for murder. The exact words from the jury, "How did the officer know the suspect was going to fire on him"? Furthermore, the suspects girlfriend was dead in the house from a single gunshot wound, but the officer had no idea at this time about her.
PaFUCKINGthetic!!!
We get 2 seconds or less to make a decision, the jury gets 2 months to make theirs.
Hey voodooman,
Great to hear from you. Congrats on being happy with the new career
Personally I have an immense amount of respect for police officers and the job they do. Police officers put their lives on the line everyday and are grossly underpaid.
Also police officers have to deal with certain negative elements in society on a daily basis and almost never see the good side of humanity. After all when does an officer gets called? Where there's trouble. Who calls police officers with good news and says "Hey come to our Bar-b-Que, to celebrate our son graduation". More often it's for domestic violence, robberies, traffic fatalities and such

Vick,
Glad to see your still around and thanks for the words, they are unfortunate
but true.
Our department is trying a PR phase to see how the public will interact with us on a more personal level, but its not really going so well. This is a town of only 12,000 people, and unfortunately there are 5 different gangs with alot of them from Denver, LA and Mexico, most of which are Hispanic so most people wont even talk to us if we just stop and try to strike up any kind conversation. They all think we are out to get them. We just completed a Drug Interdiction Emphasis in which all the interdiction officers, including DA Drug Task Force, Highway Patrol and Local City officers with multi jurisdiction run 24 hours a day for 7 days straight doing nothing but Interdiction. You would be surprised at the amount of drugs that pass through this town. Reason? Hwy 54 runs from the west coast to the east coast and most come from AZ. Matter of fact ALL of my drug arrests and seizures have come from AZ. No I don't profile either. So far I have been kicked in the nuts by a guy strung out on Heroin, been in a vehicle pursuit with a drunk, involved in a near shooting with a guy wanting to commit suicide by cop which just ended in a bump on his melon instead and many other not so physical things, but Im surprised in the amount of self control I maintain when dealing with these people. Not once had I lost my temper and the stuff ANTHONY taught me has come in quite handy. :-)
Again, good to hear from you Vick!!! Take Care and I'll be around more now.

How are you doing?
That reality show sounds like a great idea to me.
If it will suplement my income thats all the better.
Hows life in AUS?
Have you found me a wife yet? Oklahoma sucks for women,
well, women my age anyways.
As a police officer, its difficult in a small town to find an women that
A) Isnt a slut with multiple diseases or personalities, Doesnt already have 5 kids and cannot have anymore
C) isnt strung out on drugs or have been convicted of a felony
D) isnt a complete, money hungry Bi#@h
When your ready for that content, just holler.
so good to see you are doing ok
I'm still looking for that perfect woman for ya, but the cop uniform will help immensely
You should come be a cop down here - we treat our police force much better and the uniform is extremely sexy
