Funny Thing - My 15 month old has a foot fetish?

My daughter has a weird obsession with feet. When someone (people she is used to) have bare feet or wear sandals she kneels down and will try to bite and lick their toes. My husband works at night and many times during the day while he is asleep he usually ends up sticking his bare feet out of the covers and over the edge of the bed, when he does this my daughter will pet and tickle his feet and eventually bite them. With babies she likes to tickle and pet their feet. Does anyone else have small kids with weird habits?

When I was three, I used to hide behind the curtains in the living room and peel the paper wrappers off of my crayons. I grew out of it, and I am sure she will too.

My 18mo son does the same thing. We figured it was just his way of playing. when he grabs our feet, before they even get in his mouth. We laugh so he laughs and tries to tickle us. ITS SOO CUTE WHEN TODDLERS DO THAT

My grandson also had a strange obsession with bare feet, especially mine (grandma) and his dad's. He didn't lick or bite, but would pet and caress them. Would cry out "Tee-Tee" whenever he saw my bare feet and rush to pet and caress them. Would lie down hugging on them or rub his face on them. He's almost 4 now and hasn't done it for almost a year. But for a while there we were a little concerned. But also thought it a little delightful to in a very weird way. It seemed to be a very loving response. But like you said only to certain people that he was very used to.

LOL want to know something funny so does my son and now he's 6 years old and still does it. I don't like it and I've tried to get him to stop, but found out that if I don't push him to stop then eventually he will stop it hisself or his peers will help him stop it. I know it sounds harsh, but that's how i stopped biting my nails and I was 25 when that happened my HUSBAND made me stop biting it when he said, "hun I won't kiss someone that bites their nails." He meant it and since I love to kiss him I eventually stopped biting my nails. So don't worry about it she will grow out of it one day.
