Will the DirtyD scandal hurt NATS and benefit CCBill?

With CCBill you always get paid. Its not Nats that is the problem, it is shady sponsors. Where do you see this heading?

With only a few exceptions you seem to have two entirely different kinds of programs using CCBill than those using NATS, MPA3 etc. where they process their own affiliate payment.

The CCBill programs tend to be more niche focused with only a few sites, owned and operated by just one or two individuals. The NATS/MPA3 programs tend to be the more general porn categories, with multiple sites, and a hired staff.

The type of porn you promote will tend to dictate which dominates your sponsor list.

Bottom line, I don't think Dirty D's ineptitude either hurts or helps one or the other.

NATS and CCBill arent the problems the sponsors are.

Im just wondering how someone passes themselves off as a consultant and PR expert in this business and when thhings get tough say "I dont know how all that works".

PR isnt about how to make a bong out of an apple or to attend a show and invite clients to your room to eat breakfast and smoke dope while not having to pay for a show sponsorship.

When you do hat its apparent that you "dont know how that works either".

With shows dying off those that have made their bones from being the company drug mule and show coke distributor are going to find times tough.

Ah well fuck it... time to find a sugar daddy I suppose!

Public Relations is a vicious game and when played well is a beautiful thing. Great pr campaigns....Swiftboat, Monica Lewinsky, GW Bush and WMD, Maggie Thatcher and the Falkland Islands, Ronald Reagan and the Berlin Wall, Gorbachev and Glasnost....I am sure you could come up with many more. DirtD.....major pr failure run by an ostrich.

It's all a wash either way. Both types of programs have their plusses and minuses. I wouldn't want to promote nothing but CCBill sponsors and vice versa. A broad portfolio will always protect you the best.

If there is any influence at all, I think it will be on the newbie that does his research and reads at the boards. It is possible it could sway their decision of what programs to promote based on the processor. Other will stick with the programs that keep sending them checks.

I'm not a big affiliate guy, but several programs I did get checks from stopped paying for me when they switched to NATS. THAT is what swayed me on NATS vs CCBill.
