Started my build today. Trev's had some really good input but some of his ideas are way beyond what I was thinking about. :o

I've also just realised that I'm the only true newbie in this challenge, so please cut me some slack. :(

I have decided on a rough strategy and have drawn out what I think this mess will look like I have decided which domain(s) to use and have changed my dns to unpark and point at my server.

I have actually written a little code :)

I also wanted to share an icq conversation that Mr. X and I had last night, I think you all can learn something from his wisdom:

I was just grumpy, getting home from work and seeing the posts above.
It made me feel just a bit pissed off! I got up this morning and started building and I know I posted the "cocksucker" thing but Trev has more than made up for telling me to say that.

OK progress report.

We have a general idea of what we are building but havent quite come to the FULL conclusion of the task. Eclectixxx passed on about 4 novels of reading for me to "freshen up on" and once im done his laundry, dinner, and sorting his emails i will start to read them. (BTW EC..starched or not?)

Spent a couple hrs looking threw the sponsors and the content providers and im pretty sure we got this thing wrapped up..heh (confidence helps no??) Some simply awesome content from Exclusive Content and Amazing Content and im sure it will make all the diferance on conversions.

PS hey Bill...if we use PMB as our main sponsor do we get a text link on your internal contest pages??...heh

The site idea that Trev and myself have in mind really just breaks down to filtering, very little content (if any) but lots of pages with lots of pushing.

Grabbed a nice piece of script that pops consoles no matter what pop-up blocker is used, so recycling hits won't be a problem :)

Lawn is mowed. Pool cover has been pumped dry (had enough water in it that 2 ducks have stopped by the past 2 days)

Went and saw Hitchhikers Guide and had a good dinner, so it is time to get to work.

Hopefully by tommorrow evening I will have the entire framework of what we are going to do laid out, then it will be a matter of going in and filling in the holes. :)

Now I need your help on this because so far the mamby pamby little baby hasn't wanted to do anything I tell him. He keeps complaining about morals and ethics and all that unnecessary shit that you people here in niceville are filling his head with. You know he won't make any money by being a goody two shoes in this biz. So you have to tell him I'm right and get him cooperating in his education. He keeps telling me about filtering and other garbage. I keep telling him, bannerfarms, toolbars, spyware and not giving the surfer an even break is the way to go and he goddam well better start listening to me.
