KK that is true, the sponsors could have control. However, we have sponsors who eagerly support password sites.

Based on JMM's Ugly Hooker scenario there will always be another program willing to do whatever to get traffic. Especially programs who have no problem shaving, cross billing on credit cards, spamming, etc... etc...

There's a real easy way to implement anything in this business, most people just refuse to see it though.

Start at the top and the shit will roll downhill.

You want to change something? Tell the sponsors to put it in their terms. Do it this way or we don't pay. Doesn't get any more simple than that.

Of course that ugly hooker syndrome comes right back into play again since if sponsor A says no more junk, sponsors B, C and D will probably line up to take it.

The resellers are no more to blame than the sponsors, probably less in the end. They've been babied and coddled and taught that they can run a business with no investment other than their time. What isn't given to them they learn to steal.

And considering this fact, they've been led like sheep to the slaughter, to an abbatoir where people like the Hun can tell them what sponsors to use and who they can't use in order to get listed to get that traffic, it's pretty fucking ridiculous.

Course that would all change if the sponsors refused to pay on traffic that came from the Hun or any other tgp/link list/etc owner that was doing this crap. The poor little lamb resellers don't know how to get traffic without these people and they are blind to the fact that people like the Hun are only looking out for number one when they make these bullshit rules.

No doubt Ulfie, the low barriers to entry has caused this indsustry fits.

I think TGP2 should not necessarily be focusing on whether content is being used legally - that is a webmaster/content provider issue.

I think TGP2 should limit the amount of free content, allow no juicy content, restrict file size ( so there is not much quality content)and allow more banners and advertising...

Basscily make it more friendly for webmasters trying to make money and not for cheap surfers trying to get things for free!

Not the TGP'ers.
TGP's are founded by uping the ante for poster's one by one.
If one or even several make a change they ween them selves out of the game as someone replaces them for the free stuff in demand.
It happens and has happened, and will happen always.
TGP's are a staple diet to our industry.
It is clear they need help but are afraid to step out of there own circles.

Content providers have to make a move and the real qustion will be if it is worth the money to them. The Answer will be no initially until they get enough and plenty nuff softcore content to go around that is worth buying.

Furthermore, you are living in a dorm that your parents are paying for and your only real goal in life is to earn some beer money. Not a bad deal, is it? There are no barriers to entry in that model. No downside equals no responsibility. That's a BIG problem in this biz.

Hey JR,

In Windows 2000, all you need to do is open windows explorer and click on the tools button, select folder options, and then click the file types tab. Select the file extension you're having trouble with and then click the change button. That will allow you to change the program associated with a particular file type... Hope that helps. :-)

the first attempt at the TGP2's was NewAge TGP's or something like that...it was a dreadful failure ;)

this is better as it loosens rules up but still allows enough to get bookmarkers (which TGP live or die by)

how can you "undo" or "unassociate" that file type with that application? i do not see a way to do it and i cannot find information about it in the help files.

Mike, this is how different times can make something work. I wish I could remember whose idea this was but it was way ahead of its' time. The folks that build hundreds of tgp galleries every day are looking at HORRIBLE conversion rates right now. They were willing to live with 1:1500 off of tgp traffic. Now, some people I know are at 1:10000 so they are looking for new ways to earn money. That's why this thing may work. Personally, I have no interest in runnig a tgp, seems like work to me but I liked this idea.

Regarding Cambria - when I got my divorce, I had one of the top lawyers in Atlanta handling it (hey, my mom was footing the bill - why not? Hehehe). I can tell you that he personally dealt with less than 30% of the entire process. In addition to having a good lawyer, I wanted my Ex's attorney to pee in his pants when he saw the letterhead (and it worked!). I would suspect that someone who is the attorney for Flynt has peons that handle C&D's this minuscule in importance. Granted, he DID sign his name to it, but from experience, $$$ in the pocket will get a attorney with a "name"'s signature on just about anything, whether or not they necessarily agree with the content ;)

Somebody at Netpond tried this a few years ago and it didn't work well. Something like anything goes tgp or something. Might work better if there are 100's of them to trade traffic though. I see they are covered.

So let me ask a legal question Mike...if I post a picture of Evan sucking a huge horse cock and then in really small print say that Evan does not suck horse cock and that the picture is a parody and not to be taken seriously, am I ok with that?
