Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0
and noticed that the new program began making unexpected changes
to the accounting modules, limiting access to flower and jewelry applications
that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.
In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs,
such as Romance 9.9 but installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0 and NBA 3.0.
Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and HouseCleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.
I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

Dear Desperate,
Please keep in mind that Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package,
while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.
Try to enter the command: C:/I-THOUGHT-YOU-LOVED-ME
and then install Tears 6.2.
Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications: Guilty 3.0 and Flowers 7.0.
But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to
GrumpySilence 2.5, HappyHour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.
Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will create "Snoring Loudly" WAV sound files.
DO NOT install MotherInLaw 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program.
These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program,
but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.
Consider buying additional software to improve performance.
I personally recommend HotFood 3.0 and Lingerie 5.3 --

Craig, I hear you... It all depends on how you acquire it or what you do with it, but I don't think things are as simple anymore as SE=good, everything else=various degrees of bad...

I've heard the SE traffic not converting story from several other people as well. For me, TGP gallery traffic probably converts better than anything else I have, followed by AVS and exit traffic... then free sites and what little bit of SE traffic I have...

I think it largely depends on how you sell the traffic, and where you send it...

Whether they offered something that wasn't on the site is beyond me; it being a per-signup, I didn't bother to sign up and look myself first - since retention shouldn't have been my problem, I didn't much care what they did to the surfer after he signed up and I got my money. Silly me.

Mike, let me tell you, it's amazing the people who want to make you responsible for retention. I was sending traffic recently to a per-signup that was doing well for me -- about 1:60 - 1:150 on my traffic. I thought I was kicking ass. They e-mailed me and told me my traffic wasn't retaining well, and essentially that they didn't want anymore TGP traffic from me. You could have knocked me over with a feather - I always thought the whole point of per signup was that the sponsor took responsibility for retaining them, and I've NEVER had a sponsor tell me they didn't want my traffic, especially when it was signing up like gangbusters. It's starting to be a strange world out there....
