Hahahaha CJ - Daylight savings time lasts all winter! Most of the country turns their clocks forward an hour. I guess there were many reasons, and I think part of it was so the little kiddies wouldn't go off to school in the dark. Who knows, we in Indiana, Arizona & Hawaii - do not follow this ritual. (so twice a year the country revolves around us - hahaha But I hate daylight savings time. It puts us on the same time at NYC and 3 hours ahead of Vegas & the West Coast. We are in the Midwest & it is very silly to be on East Coast time.

I went with a completely different approach to this in new "AskColin" coming out later today .. completely different formulaic approach I mean.

However, given the choices, I must first say that one often has approximation formulas that are useful under varying conditions.

In physics, Newton's gravitational equations are fine unless you get going real fast or get too close to
massive objects. Newton's equations are first approximation, Einstein's second. Third? We don't know yet.

In the first approximation,
a surfer's worth=nothing

In the second approximation,
a surfer's worth=webmaster's ability

In the third approximation,
a surfer's worth=good sponsor+webmaster's ability

However, finding a good sponsor is a function of webmaster ability which just means:
a surfer's worth=webmaster's ability

My best sponsors have always been one's the ones that strive to improve. Then, during periods when I am lazy, the sponsor's improve and my dollars still improve. Nowadays, sponsors have to be good enough to keep ratios even rather than good enought to improve ratios.
