Warren Police advised earlier today that 3 of the 4 have been detained for questioning.
GM security stated that the terrorists Bin Sleepin, Bin Drinkin

The Police further advise that they can find no one fitting the description of the fourth cell member, Bin Workin, in the area.

Voodo, I am back... trying to catch up on my sleep.
Thanks to those of you who posted on www.worldofcc.com this week but I am still not getting enough webmaster gallery submissions. What is the best way to push webmaster traffic to a TGP? If you have any ideas or can help please let me know.
another Thursday game this week?
Would people rather pick just the Thursday game by Thursday night and have the three extra days to make their weekend picks OR easier just to do it all at once before Thursday night?
Think of how good the talent would be in all pro sports leagues if they chopped off half the teams.
Won't ever happen. The NFL and NBA are ok, they have figured out a way to make most teams competitive, in the NFL maybe too competitive but it's better than baseball and the NHL.
MLB folding up the Marlins and Expos I think is a political ploy as they move towards the next CBA. They want to show the players they mean business. Of course, Don Fehr will just laugh at Bud Selig.
Of course the have nots don't usually want to work as hard or as smart as the haves have to get to be a have.
Whether its salary caps, porn imperialism, or even world power structures, WHY should one expect or want parity?
I read an interesting article with Condoleeza Rice last nite, written well before last months tragedy -- part of the article focused on the heirarchy of power and structure -- and one of the most entertaining quotes in the article had to do with the fact that she thought this was going to be a bad year in the NFL -- too much parity. I tend to agree :)

I got this today from my father, thought I would share. Mind you I'm not saying I agree but does make valid points.
SUBJECT: American Women
Take all American women who are +/- 5 years of menopause. Train us
for a few weeks. Outfit us with automatic weapons, grenades, gas masks,
Prozac, hormones, SPAM, etc. Drop us (parachuted, preferably) across
the landscape of Afghanistan, and let us do what comes naturally.
Think about it. Our anger quotient alone, even when doing standard stuff like housework, grocery shopping, paying bills, etc., is
formidable enough to make even men in turbans tremble.
We have had our children. We would gladly die/suffer to protect them and their future. We'd like to get away from our husbands, if
they haven't left already. And for those of us who are single, the prospect
of finding a good, honest man with whom to share life is about as likely as being struck by lightning. Therefore, we have nothing to lose.
Let us go and fight. The Taliban hates women. Imagine their terroras we crawl like ants with hot-flashes all through their godforsaken
terrain.
I'm going to write my Congresswoman. You should, too.

We all know (or should) by this time that Socialism can never work. The only system that has worked is also the only system that created a true superpower...Ours! When I hear people like Edward Kennedy, Streisand, Redford, etc. espousing socialism, I want to grab them by the neck and say "Ok, sign all of your assets over to the government!". Why haven't they done so? Because they believe that they would be allowed to keep them, that's why!
When a rich person starts supporting Socialism, he/she should be labeled a liar unless he/she has given away all of his/her assets.
If that person is not intentionally lying, then they need to look at what they support and see what it truly entails. Torone

Geeky, how about that!?
;_))
A Moslem man lived right next door to an atheist. While the Moslem one
prayed day in, day out, and was constantly on his knees in conversation
with Allah, the atheist never even looked twice a prayer book.
However,
the atheist's life was good, he had a well-paying job and a beautiful wife,
and his children were healthy and good-natured, whereas the pious man's job
was strenuous and his wages were low, his wife was getting fatter every day
and his kids wouldn't give him the time of the day.
So one day, deep in
prayer as usual, he raised his eyes towards heaven and asked: "Allah, I
honor you every day, I ask your advice for every problem and confess to you
my every sin. Yet my neighbor, who doesn't even believe in you and
certainly never prays, seems blessed with every happiness, while I go poor
and suffer many an indignity. Why is this?"

There will always be "have nots" who are easily led by the people who seek power. Whether it be by national pride, God, etc., human beings will seek some kind of security or hope of prosperity. Marx in Porn
===============
weird thoughts come to my mind when I bike by myself in the morning....
One of the stages of Capitaism, according to Marx,
is
Imperialism,
remember colonial wars? WW1?
I think porn went thru "imperialism" stage too.
Lets go a few years back,
when Xpics became the first victim of FTC.
They were fighting with other "empires" like
CE, PinkBits, etc for their piece of the pie.
somehow, I beleive some of the "empires" brough FTC to their doors and "helped" surfers with "FTC Complains"
High Society became next "evil empire" and somehow, I also believe that some
"I have, but much less than $230 mils" empires "helped" FTC discovering HS.
All FTC probes related to CE and MC
haven't find much wrong doings.
Who do you think brought FTC to their doors?
I heard rumors from Mr. Korbin who heard from RB's friends that RB blames Ron,
I haven't heard one thing whom Ron blames,
but he point is:
Porn Imperialism did take place and if this stage of development is not over-
ARS will be next...with the help of some other,
less fortunate "emperors"
TGPers from GFY reperesent huge number of
"have nots".

Mutt,
RE: your post regarding the Marlins and Expos folding.
Do you think this rapid expansion that has occured in all pro sports is hurting the games? Being a huge Hockey fan the talent pool dwindles as new teams are brought on year after year. Then the smaller market teams are forced to fold as the talent pool simply isn't large enough to recruit a good team without paying for it. (Not that I'm one to talk my Red Wings have the highest payroll in the league) Given that these two baseball teams will more than likely fold do you think in a weak economy we'll see the same thing happening in other sports with too many teams: NHL, NBA?

The problem is always going to be one of tolerance. The Saudis are not targets, though thought of as puppets, because 1) they are muslim, and 2) they pump large amounts of money into muslim "organizations".. essentially buying their protection.
The "west" will never be welcome in the middle east. They view our globalization as yet another "crusade" into their world. Islam does not separate the political, financial, religious worlds as the west does.
The "have nots" have nothing to look forward to, so how easy is it to send them to schools or training camps, teach them only one thing, and send them out to be manipulated by the non-ignorant?

Jeff,
very true about the caps. I think that salaries could have been prevented from getting so crazy (A-Rod) through subtle pressure from within the owners, but as you said it is what the market will bear.
I view it from a person who actually cares about the games, all of them, football, baseball, basketball, etc. I want future generations to enjoy them as much as I have.

I don't think in the Middle East curing poverty is the answer. Hate and religious fervour.
But it can't hurt so I recommend we take down every one of these oil sheik's fortunes, nationalize oil in all these countries like Kuwait and spread that money among the people. Royalty is the biggest crime in the world. I hate inherited wealth especially when it comes from people who did little to create it in the first place.
You can make every Middle Eastern family a hundred thousand dollar a year income and they will still want to destroy Israel.

all have ECONOMIC foundations behind them and Islamic Fundamentalism is NOT an exception.
piss poor arabs blow themselves in our embassies, not oil rich sheiks.
Marx wasn't a mad man,
some of his social findings are valid and make sense to me.
HAVES will always be attacked by "have nots".
It was , it is, it will be...

do we wanna pay with DOLLARS for our dollars
or
with smaller dollars and more blood?
I think humanity has it's MAJOR problem ahead for the next 500 years...

Geeky, THIS problem was a culprit of ALL world wars!, MAJOR Revolutions,
including American Revolution,
Present situation is not an exception!
Looking back at post WW One Germany,
reparations bankrupted the country and lead to the WW 2.
Sanctions on Iraq bankrupted the country and now we face WW 3
(unless one believe that Afganistan Campagne be the end of it,
I don't!)
Looking back to the History of Mankind,

Does anyone support a salary cap in our industry ???
What would the response be if some one determined that all sign-ups will be paid at $5.00 per and everyone on the net were forced to comply - ?
I do not ever support anything that interferes with people being paid as much as the can get for any job that they do ?

jeff,
No. Just spending alot of money doesn't mean you automatically have success as the Red Sox and many others have proved. That's where the Yankees deserve credit, they have spent their money well, kept exisiting players, bought free agents like Clemens and Mussina who have produced, and traded for guys with big salaries who also have produced.
Using the success of teams like Seattle and Oakland doesn't help much. They are the EXCEPTION to the rule, Oakland had a dynamite farm system and Seattle has the best GM in the biz. Oakland has NO chance at hanging onto the players it produced when they become eligible for arbitration.
It's not IMPOSSIBLE for a smaller market or team with a cheap owner to win it all but the odds are stacked against it. That's no way to run a pro sports league.
An NFL game between two crap small market teams, Jacksonville and Buffalo, outdrew the baseball playoffs in the TV ratings. Baseball if u take away the effect the new stadiums are having on attendance is still very much in decline.

Baseball is definitely facing a huge problem between the "haves" and the "have nots". Not to say that poor spending hasn't killed several teams, but by and large, the salaries are just out of control, and the domino effect continues into new stadiums, higher ticket prices, etc. Seattle spent a lot of money for Ichiro, so they can't really "poor-mouth".
The Yankees will always be able to buy a great team, BUT that does not guarantee success, as has been proven in so many teams in so many sports over the past few years.

Salary Cap ????
Salary does not win games
Seattle was number 11 Salary wise - they won 116 game, and the A's were 29th out of 30 yet they managed to win over 100 games.
Yes the Yankees had the top Salary this year (they moved ahead of Boston mid year).
If Salary had that much to do with it shoudln't Boston, a mere 250k less than the Yankees, be more than a barely above 500 team ?
Give credit where it is due - the Yankees simply out played Seattle.
