As some of you know my fishingtackle.com is pointed to gofishin.com site and I have been getting paid for a few years.
As a marketing person I could only imagine what a mistake it was not to have gofishing.com
I corrected the situation by buying gofishing.com today and it is now in my control and should be active tomorrow. Once it is activated I can figure out EXACTLY how much this was costing gofishin.com in lost business.

It's all good. I made the post before I even saw your post to DoKK. LIke i said yesterday. I have no probs with Dokk or his radio show. Dokk does what he does best, entertain. I stick to what I know.. educating webmasters..
But hey.. our shows are on at different times... so stop by tonight and check it out... I'm sure even you can be educated!
haha
MikeAI - Why not tune in to MaxCashLive tonight and see if I host a dick sucking contest:-)
I assure you.. I try to focus on biz.. and steer far from the dick sucking. However, I do tend to agree with my guests a lot... Not because I am "stroking their ego," but because I do agree with them! lol.
Seriously... I know you are a busy guy.. but why not stop in the show tonight and let me convince you to become a regular listener and possibly a guest in the future:-)

Most of the radio shows are pure shit, such as webmaster confessions and Evan's show. They provide no real information other than patting each other on the back.
But, there are a few good shows, such as Max Cash Live, and Sounding Point.

OK another topic, since JoeE was getting his nose all worked out of shape.
Whats up with all these webmaster radio shows?? Do we need this many of them? Are any of them informational? Is it purely entertainment ( surely joee talking about making people take off their pants to sit on his camal hair chairs is not going to help a newbie make a sale).
Any opinions out there?? I really do not catch many of the shows - so I really do not have much of an opinion.
Though it seems to me to be more about EGO then anything else!
Ooooh on that nore, maybe I should have my OWN show them!! Yeah thats the ticket!

Wow I miss all the excitement with JoeE. JoeE you know I love you, but rules are rules. We would be pretty shallow if we enforce the rules against a newbie spamming, but yet let a player like you? If nothing else can be said about Oprano.com, it is that we are fair.

Shit VooDoo... your marketing skills are starting to come back! Kinda fun to be "un-retired" again, eh? 8^)
About "loyalty memberships" - WTS gives it's merchants the ability to offer members that are CANCELLING, one last offer..... "we hate to see you go....but since you have been a "loyal" member to our site, we will allow you to CONTINUE your membership at this new, dicounted price!
If you're NOT doing Checks with us.... you're LOSING money! http://www.achdebit.com
FYI, we will be introducing a "lite" version of Evidence Eraser probably next week at a reduced price point to compete with clean browser. We know that not everyone needs or wants a "professional" version of the software. The "lite" version will have all the same functions but will not destroy data at the same levels as the
professional version.
We are also integrating a 900# payment option to the affiliate program as well.
We are always open to feedback that any of you have about the product and the wemaster program.
KoKo - my guy who runs the mailers and tracks these things is in class right now. When he gets out I will get the information and post it.

We have also tested this and found that with the right pitch you can good conversions at this price point. As you know, it is just a matter of matching the price with the marketing.
Value is just an illusion, if the surfer has the correct illusion he will pay up for what is perceived as a superior product whether it actually is or not.

Got a question, we did extensive testing on the 140-150 price point with other programs, and conversions were really not good.
Our numbers showed we can convert 3X more at our price point thus possibly paying webmasters $75 per sale in comparison to a $140/40 commission set up...

I've promoted Evidence Eliminator for quite some time and done VERY well with it. Haven't experienced a late payment, either. However, the price doubling left a sour taste in my mouth, so I'm testing some others. Currently testing Clean Browser, will also test Evidence Eraser.
Two things Eliminator needs to do: better traffic stats (they ONLY show a referrer list with no total, so you have to total it up yourself manually, each day... PITA); and hire someone with a personality and people skills to answer their emails. No offense meant toward programmers out there, but Andy is the consummate programmer when it comes to dealing with people. ;D

months & the last 2 i nailem for 14.95... i woulda rather had em for 2.5 at full rates..."
I agree with both of you, Voodoo, Hooper, if it doesn't make you more money, why do it? It probably depends on upsells and a several other factors as to whether it would or not.
Thu, 12 Jul - 09:20:54 168.191.31.141 Post #: 1727
re: loyalty discounts
Loyalty programs should NOT be promoted until after the surfer becomes a member...and perhaps not right away... This should only be promoted as a "back-end" marketing tool, or upon cancellation request. You fill the surfers mind with the idea that he may be able to find what he's looking for at the $14.95 price ELSEWHERE... they understand Trials, Bulk Discount on mulit-month, but DRASTIC price slashing has negative effect.
JMHO...
;-)
There are other alternatives that I will discuss later, that have been eluded to by others but not in use... not golden opportunities but definitely will add a few more zeros...

Damn!! LMAO! I don't know what I'm laughing harder at, Dokk's KFC thing or "I am not censoring, I am CENsoring!" (Sorry, Joe, but that's hilarious!!)
Ok, how about a wider posting box and add wrapping for Netscape browsers as well as IE? :-)
Onto biz discussion ... Was just looking at Top Bucks' paysite tours and came across an, ahem, "interesting" strategy they are doing. What do folks here think of this? (Remember Top Bucks is a recurring program so the webmasters get their share of both the recurrs and the chargebacks.)
The join page button reads: "$14.95 a month - w/ Loyalty Discount"
So I say, huh? And click to the billing page which then pronounces:
"Name of site renews at $24.95 every 30 days.
Today's Charge is $39.95.
LOYALTY DISCOUNT -- On (a date marked two months hence that must always stay current to that)-2001, your subscription will be reduced to $14.95."
So who here things this mean this strategy will cause a) chargeback hell b) few sales but good recurrings and a three-month minimum stay c) other?
Personally I think it's not a good plan, but I do appreciate someone trying to think out of the box.
Upon further reflection, there might be something to the idea of a (much more slowly) graduated "loyalty" price reduction, but I wouldn't toss $14.95 in their faces and then slap them with a $40 fee a moment later.

That's what we are all about..."Must be the MONEY!"
From whatI heard at the Vegas show many people have had problems getting paid by evidence eliminator either on time or at all.
I promo'ed Eliminator, great conversion rate, 1:200+, when the price was MUCH MUCH lower, after they raised the price, it was no longer worth it. But their customer service is topshelf...
Someone give me a private label version to resell for under $100 and that would be perfect... e-me for details.

Because we offer a 30 day demo the sales usually lag about 20-30 days from the time you start promoting. But once you make it that long into the program the sales start rolling in consistently based on how much traffic you are sending.
Webmasters make $40 per sale and we also pay $10 per sale for any webmasters you refer to the program. Our initial numbers ar about 1/100 - 1/200 on shit traffic. I think it will do better on shit traffic cause the TGP and Freehost. Generally, those are the surfers who look for the most explicit and perverted adult material.
We are currently working on a deal for nationwide distribution thru software distributors. Hopefully you may find this in "a store near you" not too long from now.

I had a friend who showed me a similar product...and the light went on! They had a great idea but were not marketing it directly to the biggest and most natural market - adult websites.
So where we find a hole, we try to fill it. We signed up some major paysite programs in Vegas to run it in their members areas and market the affiliate program to their 1000's of webmasters.
