This was an act of war. I hope that President Bush sees it as such and responds appropriately. Nobody wants to see innocent people die, but in war, innocent people die. That is how war works. Children are dancing in the streets. Are they innocent? For now they are, because they have no power. What they know, they have learned from their parents. Unfortunately, they are the future terrorists of the world and no matter what our response, terrorism will always be a fact of life because the world is filled with cowards.

But we must react. We must react quickly. Innocent people will most likely die. Thousands of innocent people have already died this morning.

I am sickened by the comments from arab leaders. "We are sorry, but it is your own fault." "We are sorry, but America has reaped what it has sown."

Enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say atttack. Attack now. Attack hard. Attack unmercilessly.

Yes, innocent people will die! Yes, many people at towel and rag factories will lose their jobs due to the reduced demand. Call me cold, but I don't care.

Closing all these things is most likely a necessary precaution. Earlier they were talking about how in the 60s the idea that terrorists would attempt to attack us with our own domestic commercial aircraft was dismissed as unrealistic. Given whats happened so far I don't know that anythings beyond realistic, this certainly defeats the imagination.

The other really horrible fact is that when terrorists attack, it is very hard to retaliate against them -- they don't represent a nation and while we certainly need to think of retribution the concept of laying waste to a country full of potentially innocent bystanders is terrifying.

Just heard from my sister in law about 30 minutes ago. My little brother's office is in the WTC, fortunately, he is in London today.

I here people asking how this could happen. Personal experience.

When KK, Steve, DJ and I flew to Miami from Phoenix a few weeks ago, we were running late. We ran up to the Delta ticket counter to check in. They told us to hurry because they were trying to get the flight out 10 minutes early. They did not ID any of us. KK wasn't even with us at the ticket counter, she was parking the car, and they checked her in! As we went through the security checkpoint, I beeped like a mofo. They told me to "go over there"...there was nobody "over there" so we all kept going and got right on the plane.

Security? Security at U.S. airports is almost non-existent.

We will now see what Bush is made of. Fuck arrests. Fuck executions. The people responsible don't give a shit about being arrested or being executed, they are all prepared to die for their holy war. The skies over the middle east must now be filled with U.S. missles and U.S. bombers. To me, this is the only response that has any chance of preventing something like this from ever happening again. Those responsible must be wiped off the face of the earth. Those who finance those responsible must be wiped off the face of the earth.

Local news here in Oklahoma City says that many flights to Dallas are being diverted here instead. Tinker AFB here is center for AWACS planes. Base is closed and reporters said AWACS planes were starting up.
