In a very real sense, we keep ourselves from thinking outside of the box. Newbies (like teenagers) are notoriously easy to distract. Any conversation which involves five-figure thinking (if you'll accept the analogy) will induce any number of beginners to run off the wrong direction. Of course what they learn is those same expensive lessons that *we* learned firsthand - but still, it's painful to watch. :)

I might tell people how much money I made the first time The Hun and AL4A hit the same day. That does *not* mean this is the place for the newest beginner, in search of a quick buck, to start. Being creative is painful - we all know this. We *also* know that being creative pays very well indeed.

Thus, at Voltar's place, we pay very firm attention to "first things first." We know that those who are HUNGRY will find their way to five figures, and six. But, in the meantime, we protect us from ourselves.

Like you said, we're mostly just teaching common sense. The plain old ordinary basics that work in *any* business. I'm betting almost every large webmaster would agree that it's not the programming skill that got him or her to five figures, and six. It's the people skills, and the relationships.

There's a concept that I call "three-figure thinking, four-figure thinking, and five-figure thinking." I mean this literally; by five figures I mean clearing USD 10,000 or more profit per month from this business.

Here at VNWR we teach three-figure thinking and four-figure thinking. If you have the eyes to see and the ears to hear, you will find your way to five figures.
