It was great to see everybody at the show and I wish i didn't get so easily tired. I really wished i could have been at every event but it was my first time to vegas and i wasn't really ready to handle the trade show grind and i don't know how every webmaster reading this can handle no sleep and all work and finding fun when you can. Anyway, i wanted shout out to everyone that I met, and I don't want to go through all of the names or it won't sound sincere. And to all of the models that you represent, they are all beautiful in my eyes.

So far I'm less than impressed with what I've seen.

I haven't even made it home from vegas. But I assure you with the finalization of several deals we concluded today that you might find it beneficial to your empire of link lists and tgps.

Hell js seems to have integrated while I've been away.

I'm glad to have you back even as a lurker. Your one of the good guys. Honest biz. Haed working and a straight shooter.

We kind of have left a lot of people bewildered and confused as we moved in post haste and then got oprano moved to national net.

Then we throw everyone a curve and put aebn in the mix. So I think everyone is kind of punch happy.

Let me get home and unpacked and see if joe and I can solve some of the mystery we had to leave here in order to go to the show.

When its all said and done... I think you will find it worth your time .

No, there was another less than friendly remark made to "non-regular" earlier in the day, and thats just in the last 24 hours. This was simply the instance that I chose to repsond to. What I found particularly disturbing was the fact the one of the new board owners joined in on the condescending remarks.

I've been participating in, and moderating, online discussion forums of one form or another for over 20 years, and yes I do realize that predates the existance of the WWW by almost a decade. I built my first adult web site in 1997. There's a big difference between "a new face" and "a newbie", and if you'd checked my profile or looked back through my posts for my introduction back in July you'd have known I'm not a wet behind the ears kid that took a wrong turn at GFY.

I don't think either of the instances I saw today were intentionally malicious, but I also don't think those posting put much thought behind their remarks. My Grandpa taught me, "If ya ain't got nothin' nice to say, shut the fuck up." His language may have been a bit rough, but the advice is still sage.

I did look back through your posts before I posted that and I knew you were not a newbie. I did however, think that you could take a joke and were probably just having a bad day.

Dravyk was just messing with jbrasco951 and if you chceked back through jbrasco's posts you would see that he went through a little initiation by fire because of the way he introduced himself to the board.

Not every joke is gonna go off well, often what folks post sounds a lot funnier in the head before it comes off the fingers, just like any conversation.

If so I am sorry I did not get to meet you.

However considering this was JBrascos first show, and in his post he described it to be fat and furious ( when in actuality it was in gear speed, hmmmm , reverse? compared to prior internext shows as far as the pace and the floor traffic. You had to at least find a small chuckle in the Darvyk post ? no?

Just out of curiousity, what " other newbie post" was there something said that offended you as well? Maybe we can put a context on that for you too, I would hate for you to have the wrong impression.

There's usually a lot more background to what happens in a thread, than simply what is actually said in the thread. Rather than being malicious either intentionally or unintentionally in this particular thread, what's happening is people are deriving humor from the predictability of it all.

The show floor was indeed moving at a fast and furious pace. Just not at internext.
I saw the internext show morph into a b2b showcase. Those that saw it for what it was moved on it and were able to score some business.

Its debatable if you need a show floor with booth to do that kind of networking. Feedback I heard was no.

I heard more than once comapnies asking...where are all the webmasters. They were at aee. At least that's where we saw most of em. When we were in meetings there.

The vegas show has changed. The change of dates to march should make things interesting. If I was the phx crew I would move the date of my forum to late jan and become the opening show in 2007.

Things are really about to get interesting as business is about to pick up.
