I've gotten over 3000 - I'm pulling them off the mailserver instead of downloading them.
BTW - here's a list of the ones I'm getting from adult webmasters - you guys might want to check your email servers. bishop@aebn.net KRL@InternetEntertainmentNetwork.com scotty@elitewebcash.com admin@gofuckyourself.com bpj@achdebit.com feeds@pleasurelabs.com info@nichecartel.com hooper@clickfeel.com Added another one: customerservice@men-rx.com Last edited by Peaches at Aug 23 2003, 10:07 PM |

Was AFK while in Reno/Lake Tahoe since Tuesday. Came back in today and WHOA! - a good 3-4k were blocked by Norton. Day-um. Don't know if this was a good week to take off or not!? lol
Fortunately they were all caught and all is good... I saw a few Klez and some mimail.A's in the mix there... I guess they didn't want SoBig getting all the attention. |

The address that you see on the email you get into your mailbox doesn't have anything to do with where it is actually coming from. My host has blocked the thing, so I'm not getting 4-10 per MINUTE like I was; what I am still getting, however, is about 10 RETURNS an hour saying that the message bearing one of my addresses has been rejected. This address has never been used.

I started receiving some saying that my email was rejected. I've updated everything, done a couple of scans (just cuz I'm paranoid! ) and made sure I'm not sending squat. When they come back returned it shows an @worldnet.att.net address instead of my @verizon.net addy. |

Definitely the most prolific virus to date, and it doesn't seem to be easing up much. I'm still getting several emails per minute from it, I haven't even attempted to count.
I'm filtering and dealing with it, but I think I'm going to start filtering it server side as it comes in. It's not just the number of messages but the size of the attachments, it's chewing up hundreds of megs of mailbox space. |

Tuffruff on the PC board posted this - I haven't downloaded it yet, but I'm in the process of doing it. He's been using it and says it works!

As an update, this is really a nifty little tool! I'm getting an average of 92 viruses an hour, so it tells me, and unless I check my email right before it runs it's check, I'm not downloading any of them!
