We all know that I am quick to bitch when something is wrong. This time I want to pass along something good.
Its very rare that you have a vendor in this business that is professional above and beyond the call of duty but this is the case with Kacy and Stan at Nakedhosting.com Some of you may know that we have sold off most of our hosting company so I had to find a new home for my development sites and such. I decided to give Nakedhosting a crack at the business and it has been nothing less than wonderful. The deal on the dedicated server was excellent paired with the fact that it was online the same day ready for the Fat Fucking Administrator to configure. They were able to work with us on what I would call a comanaged server. We manage the box but they are also availble at no extra charge to manage the box. The service there is top shelf. Everything from funky email set up requests to installing a php or cgi script...they have done it in a timely manner and its right the first time. Normally Id keep something like this a secret but I just got an email and an ICQ from Stan. Alta Vista has updated and it indexed a lot of unprotected directories which contain movie clips. I was running up a big bill and fast. They were proactive and both contacted me as well as throttled the pipe back until they heard from me so I wouldnt take an asswhipping on the bill. Needless to say I was able to fix the problem and get back online with about 10 minutes outtage. We talk alot about many hosting companies but I wanted to step up and give a personal recommendation based on real life experience for nakedhosting.com . If you need some tender loving care and dont have a big budget .... check them out. I did and Im glad for it!
