An Education in Marketing.

When I started building galleries, I started with BDSM, as that is a niche I know. Gradually, it became time to branch out and start diversification in my knowledge base. I think I'll be working on that for as long as I'm in the biz. 
One of the things I have decided that I need to improve is my ability to write compelling copy. I like to read, and want to start a collection of books to keep as reference materials. My thoughts are that sound marketing strategies that work in mainstream will transfer to adult. (There may be books specifically for the porn industry, but I haven't found them yet.  )
My first purchase was "The Online Copywriter's Handbook Everything You Need To Know To Write Electronic Copy That Sells" by Robert Bly. It had some very good general tips in it. Some of the information that is specific to the web is somewhat dated (2001 publish date) But only because of the specifics of the medium being discussed (ie, e-zines are addressed, but not a word on blogs, and understandably so)
I've got another book on it's way. This one is "Ogilvy on Advertising". It came well recommended by someone in the biz, and has great reviews on Amazon. I look forward to diving into it.
Assuming that this is not a board full of marketing majors, what things have you done to enhance your sales abilities?
