I had my first store at 9 years old. (1974) It wasn't porn though. It was toys and candy. (Ricky's Toy and Candy) It was a real store, built on a concrete pad, made from a brand new steel shed kit, (10 X 10) bought at JCPenny for $199, for which I paid "rent" of $10/month. Dad paid for the concrete foundation, which is actually still there.
That was my first lesson in "free Publicity." Got a full 1/3rd page in the paper with two photos, and an in -depth "Business kid" story. Best profit? Red Swedish jelly fish. Bought 480 piece boxes, for $3.80 and sold them for a penny each from apothecary jars. Made $1 profit a week on that product line alone. (Big money for a 9 year old kid in 1974.)
Caught the bug back then, and it never went away. Didn't start selling "tickets" to our super 8mm movie "theater" to the neighborhood kids until I was 12.
