Re: Two arrested For filming a minor in a Dirty D porn video
Again EJ, the public isn't going to go searching for adult boards that have the most stand up reputations. Judging by the amount of activity between here and GFY, which is more representative of the adult industry in the eyes of the public? You will get no argument from me that those on this forum are top notch people that represent the business well.
Moreso, belonging to an industry that sells sex, you will continue to be lumped into the same categories as those that commit crimes as it reflects on your industry as a whole. Again, not fair but when you compare the numbers, those involved in adult pale in comparison to those who are not and those are the people who pass the judgment.
I do raise issue with your claim Dirty D is innocent til proven guilty and then turning around and claiming her guilt.
There are two things everyone in adult need to be diligent and concerned about: HIV/STD and child pornography. Just because one threatens a life and one does not, doesn't make either one more affordable to ignore.
There is a law against producing videos with minor, there is no law requiring performers to test for disease nor is there any law that states the identity of an infected performer. Yet, when someone who is in the adult business that many people have termed a stand up guy and good businessmen does something like this, people turned their heads, why? Possibly because it makes the entire industry look like they prey on minors? We both know the industry does not do that but the public does not give a fuck. If it looks like a duck, quack likes a duck, ......Fair or not.
But when the HIV thing came out, everyone wanted to know the identity and whose to blame for putting obstacles in their production path. Blog after blog, site after site, adult and mainstream both wanted to know who caused the shit so they could ridicule and chastise the performer but were seemingly quiet with the allegations against Storm continued for over an entire year.
Until you get guys like Max Hardcore, Rob Black, Kahn Tusion, Dirty D, etc.... to continually give adult a black eye, the public will continue to generalize their attitudes against the "nasty pornographers."
Look brother, I am with you. Adult is a beautiful thing. I enjoy the content and have no shame in admitting so. Personally, I think adult provides more to society than any horror/slasher/killer movie produced. But those in adult have a responsibility especially because they are under the microscope constantly. Was the girl wrong to use her friends drivers license? Absofuckinglutely. Does she share blame in this situation? Again, yes. But Dirty D, as an admitted "pervert" and businessman in a heavily scrutinized (valid or not) industry, must do diligence in making sure everything he does is within the law.
Now, IF and I state IF the girl's claim is true that she used her friend's drivers license that had her friend's picture on it that looked nothing like Kelsie, it is all on Dirty D to catch it. Just like it is on a bar to catch a minor trying to use a fake ID to purchase alcohol. When your freedom and business depend on good decision making skills, any bad decision you make can take away both.
Do I think Storm sought her out as a 17 year old to put her in his productions? I would hope not. But I also think Dirty D did not think it mattered or anyone would find out. To this day, the guy still has not admitted that Kelsie shot in 2007,nearly 6 months before her 18th birthday. The MO he uses to conduct his shoots and interactions with different talent has been documented on various forums and comically, they are similar in what occurs.
The fact that Storm still has not returned gives a pretty good indication that this case is at least more serious than the two charges the other two employees have received otherwise, why not come back pay the $20K bail and clear your name especially if you have gone on record again and again stating you did so with no malice?
