I don't recall seeing that type of interest when they ran that story about Dirty D either. So it does give the public the poor perception that those in adult care more about HIV cases than those accused of shooting a minor. If there was Joe Schmo doing this out of his bedroom, you all would have had a field day. But since Dirty D has been in this game for a long time and made people $$$, no one wanted it to be true much less think that this great awesome guy could do something so stupid. It would be another thing if just shot porn but he also claims to be a marketing and branding genius that gives lectures and seminars at shows.

I think the reason adult gets painted with the GFY brush is because thats "where the industry meets". Fair or not, it comes with the territory. The problem is if he somehow beats the charge, how quickly will everyone run back to do business with him, even if he is actually guilty?

I think the target is placed there not so much because of society but moreso because of the middle fingers guys like Max and Rob did and from what I understand, what Dirty D has done in Tampa. Getting busted jerking off in an adult bookstore, not once but twice and then a year later appearing before the judge for a charge like this is not going to look good at all and you know the jury will hear about the previous crap and whatever else authorities have dug up on him. If anyone doesn't think this isn't going to get bigger, you're crazy.
I don't accept your premise.
{GFY brush is because thats "where the industry meets"}
GFY is a board of posers, wannabes, and fanboys. If you want a more mature, responsible, and respectable view of the industry, you would come here, or a few other choice boards.
There are many here I disagree with, but still respect their opinion. And occasionally, gods forbid, learn something new.

So generalizing about the attitudes is unacceptable. And this Dirty D person has never made one thin dime for me.
I think I may have met him on occasion, but we've never done business. The idea that a businessman has be responsible for people that set out to break the law is just ridiculous (The law itself is ridiculous, but that's another discussion....this just brings it into sharp focus.)

On top of that, lest we forget, he's innocent until PROVEN guilty.
The HIV thing is on a completely different plane. That is a health, i.e. threat of life issue. This is a "somebody saw a naked boobie and their moral character has been assassinated......sermon at 11:00"

Regardless of all that, there WILL be serious penalties to the D guy, in the matter of financial/reputation/time loss, even if found to be innocent of all charges. Who does he see about that?

And why isn't the girl under arrest? At minimum, she participated in several felonies, by her own admission?
