Google already fixed that EULA, which was copied from one of their services,
hence the paragraph quoted talking about stuff posted to the SERVICE.
It was the same stuff used by a great many message boards and such services -
if you post something on Oprano, you're giving Oprano the right to display your
post and otherwise use it. Kind of makes sense. Oprano doesn't have that in
the terms when you register, but many boards do. That's all Google was doing
for the service from which they copied the EULA.


I posted a bunch of stuff to a board several years ago which did not have
that in the terms. Later, I went to refer back to some of my old posts. They
had started charging money for access to the forums, so I wasn't able to
see my own posts without paying. Since I hadn't agreed to a EULA that gave
them the right to sell my posts, I forced them to remove everything I had posted.
