Re: Google's Chrome browser screws you over with copyrights??
This was brought up elsewhere in mainstream a while back, not in connection with Chrome, but other Google Apps. Same EULA.
Basically it is for the ability of the search engine to cache pages and use translation software without anyone suing them.
Can it be used in more nefarious means? Sure. Will Google do that? Doubtful; they would lose more than they would ever gain.
Is it legal? Nope, as said here, it really has nothing to do with nothing, and they would lose. In short if the ACLU, EEC and FSC see no problem with it, no reason to be pro-active, then I am not going to worry about it. Cause they would be all over it if it meant something.)
