The long days and nights are no problem, I can sleep in daylight or dark. I also dont need to be around big crowds.
The problem is toys and food. I'd have to totally change my lifestyle and eat in regularly. And getting toys imported would cost a bit. I could keep power online with redundant generators, big batteries, etc. But I have to wonder how reliable the internet is that far north. A 90 day outage while waiting on a thaw would suck major ass.

I think you need to learn more about Alaska....
I have been there a couple of times and one of the big problems is bugs. Huge amounts of blood sucking, flesh eating, flying, crawling bugs.
