Hard to completely avoid banks. Even legitmate cash real estate deals aren't really "cash" - there's still a check and an attorney involved. I have to deal with the banks no matter what. I just make sure I keep the higher amounts in the higher paying MM's and spread the love around. And have at least a months worth of living expenses IN CASH. But not in the mattress
