Did he have a choice but to go into rehab? When he goes to court, his lawyer can how what a good little boy he was to complete a program and brag how he's on the road to recovery.
His publicists are working overtime to try to save his images with his apologies, and I'm glad they didn't have him deny what he said.
I'd never watch anything he was in or support him, not that I ever did.
Sadly, I'd bet a lot of other actors feel the same way he does, they just haven't been quoted.
