The last time I watched a dance show was in the early 80s.
Some syndicated weekly disco dance competition show had Frank Zappa as a judge - once.
It was - odd. He was voting for people who couldn't dance at all, and some disco diva (can't remember who she was) was getting visibly pissed off about it.
