I always make New Year's Resolutions. One year I even wrote them down.
It helped emphasize the fact that they're always the *same* resolutions and they're never all that big or life changing.
The first one is always "this year, I'm not going to forget anyone's birthday/anniversary/important date." I always intend to send "real cards" that go through the mail...but end up sending e-cards a lot. I should reword that resolution. I don't "forget" anyone's day. (Too many calendars.) What I do is forget/neglect to do anything about it in time. This year, I'm going to word that resolution correctly.
The second one will be "stay on the Weight Watchers' diet."
I need to think up a third one. I'm certainly not silly enough to put "quit smoking" on the list. Even the health care nurse that calls me monthly thought that was a dumb idea. Lose weight first...then deal with the smoking.
