Abraham Alexander, 45, of East Meadow, was arraigned late Tuesday on charges of second-degree grand larceny, forgery and criminal possession of a forged instrument. He was jailed on $10,000 bail.

Alexander was accused of stealing the money from the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, where he was an accounts payable executive, by using company credit cards and writing checks to himself from November 2003 through April 2005.

Illegal checks plus other thefts totaled $237,162.40, Sherry Hunter, a spokeswoman for the Manhattan district attorney's office, said Thursday.

Some $11,000 of that went to pay Through the Looking Glass, an online company run by Columbus, Ohio-based dominatrix Lady Sage, Hunter said. The woman's real name was not included in the charges.

Lady Sage says on her Web site she charges $250 an hour for her services and $1,500 for an eight-hour session.

Alexander's lawyer, Herschel Katz, declined to comment on the case Thursday. Alexander is due back in court Dec. 20.
