Sadly, due to the death of the mother of one of our rescues, grandmother of two others, I could never again have a large dog around my cats. (Sophia was killed by the neighbor's dog.) I wanted a small dog so that I'd never have to worry about the cats being hurt. Luckily, Dingo adores cats...and every one of the cats could smack the crap out of her should the need ever arise. She's so damned happy and friendly, though, that the cats are melting.
