The mere discussion of religion brings out an interesting dynamic, even here on Oprano. The vehement attacks on the very idea of a higher power, and the bitter denunciations of organized religion (particularly on the papists) have a zeal about them that is downright religious in nature, and a redundancy that reeks of a dogma learned from an oft-recited catechism.
