I'm grateful to read this thread. I was afraid we had lost the ability to disagree with one another with respect. To paraphrase "I disagree with what you just said but will fight to the death to defend your right to say it."

Sarettah started the original "slut" thread because he has a relationship that permits him to use such odd endearments with his disagreements. Unfortunately, that created a bandwagon that led to others who did not have a relationship *also* using words that were not endearments.

I wonder what we'd be talking about right now if there hadn't been a hurricane?
