I spoke with Buff last night for a while.

You have to admire those guys for standing up for what they beleive in.
I let them know that we all are concerned for them and wish we could do more than just sit.

I spent part of the morning gathering up stuff for a Red Cross station. I found mine at the post office and got a truckload of blankets and stuff they had on the list.

They are now suggesting getting them cold hard cash. Its very difficult to get the semis and stuff thru to the city. I hope that what I was able to gather up finds its way to someoen in need... there are a ton of people still stranded and waiting all over the outer regions of the city.

I made a blog entry last night over at Kblogger which I will sum up here...

THe next time you get ready to register a new domain or you are considering some new hosting... you might want to think of Zippa or DirectNic. Those guys are risking life and limb to keep things up and rolling for as long as possible. I gurantee that the $5 registrars would have packed it in at the first sign of a heavy thunderstom.

You have to admire the tenacity [maybe a little insanity] of those guys.
The Gov. of Lousiana is ordering a full evacuation of New Orleans... somehow I dont think Buff and Sig will leave though.

And you know somewhere out there Billy is risking his ass for people he doesnt even know.

The darkness of adversity reveals those with a truely noble spirit.
