Default Re: A wet and windy morning here

Yeah, I think I may have jinxed myself, just a little bit...

Well, if you guys don't see me some time during the next couple of days... I've probably lost my power...

Everything is closed here now. You can't even get pizza delivered! Today they also changed all of the interstates to go out of the state, so there really isn't any getting into the city right now.

The Mayor has been on the local news telling everybody to get out now and said that the hurricane director told him that he hasn't seen anything like this storm in all of his 33 years of doing this.

Right now, we're all kind of sitting on edge waiting to see how bad it's going to be. There's such a thin margin where if it goes more to the West the damage to New Orleans will be MUCH worse than if it goes a little more East...

And, the city is kind of like a fish bowl, with water on three different sides. There's the Gulf, the Lake, and the Mississippi river... The big fear right now is that if this thing hits us the wrong way, New Orleans will be flooded with about 20 feet of water, which they say will take 6 months just to get the water out of the city...

So, I guess all we can do now is sit and wait...
