I think the days of pissing are so over. It was interesting when the whole thing was new, but now...either you have business or important issues to discuss...or you just want and need a bit of human contact.
Back in the day, a good snipe-fest could go on for hours, if not days. What did it all accomplish? Tired fingers and bleary eyes. I doubt seriously anyone on the adult 'net said "I want to do business with this person, he/she has such a large vocuabulary of obscene adjectives to hurl at other webmasters."
On a personal note, my own tiny business might be helped a bit by my posting, as webmasters can read and say "well, she types in complete sentences and can spell most of the words." That sort of thing can be accomplished whether I'm saying good morning or tossing in an opinion on some "business issue."
