I have a sneaking suspicion that playing an entire half in the "other" football would kill off most of the best using either shape of the ball.
I doubt American football players don't have the endurance to compete against World footballers.
I kinda have to wonder how well World footballers would fare having a dozen close encounters of the Ray Lewis kind.
