I remember in elementry school they'd have us go outside and sing some songs while they'd raise this green flag. then we'd have a 10 minute assembly and were made to pledge to be good to the earth and whatnot.
recycle something today (you don't have to do it the rest of the year, that's why it's called earth DAY).
