I think the fundamental difference is this...
In 98 there was really only really 20 places to send traffic to.
In 98 there was probably 200 people able to sustain 100 sales a day.
Today there is probably at least 500 places to send traffic to.
Today there is probably only 100 people able to sustain 100 sales a day
