I had this same argument with a stupid ass black chic when I handed her a susan B Anthony dollar at a newstand years ago. She refused to take the dollar coin. She didn't recognize it as money.
I like to carry the $1 Gold coins, just cause I like gold. They get funny looks as well. The level of stupidity really amazes me somtetimes....and I think to myself, "these people have the right to vote."
