In my local Sainsburys there's a Sunderland supporter’s shop ran by a lady I used to go to school with, and some of the mark-up on items is quite frightening. 72% on full home strips.
She has a football signed by the team for sale at £150 that only cost her £25 to buy from the club, she sold another football when we were in the premiership for £400
The expensive part she says is getting the franchise licence from the club to be an official supporters outlet. After that she just has to adhere to the set maximum for the mark-up and she's rolling in it.
I think developing a fan site with an online store would be an excellent idea
