Very interesting - a blast from the past, to be sure.

I was involved with ASW when the entire system was considered Secret, with large chunks of it . My commanding officer professed to be unamused by my placing a Reader's Digest article about it, appropriately stamped "Secret", in the weekly Read file forwarded to all the department heads. (He may not have been amused, but he sent it on to the Wing Commander, who WAS amused).

If we are NOT stringing cable all over the Sea of Japan and the IO between Diego G & the African continent - we are fucking up on a scale akin to failing to rearm in the 30s. The Chinese and the Indians are building formidable blue-water fleets.
