Here’s the poop with BHE. They host 3 of our sites as well as have a partnership with us and have for years. Just because they are who they are, doesn’t mean that the guys who market for them (and us) are not to be counted. We could have, as so many other programs do, just pick an affiliate who posts on a lot of boards and give it to them so they could talk about it and give us more exposure. But we didn't. We sent the I-pod to the marketing guy that did the most, period. I wouldn’t care who it was or if it was the devil himself. Why would it matter to us to send the item to someone who didn’t deserve it for what amounts to less than an hours income. Also, since they are “partners” with us, they do NOT need an affiliate code as we can track their sales via our sign-ups. If you've got a problem with that feel free to get in touch with my partner. Now on to the toplists. Yes we have our own sites on the toplist and we push the traffic between them, but we are not cheating anyone. Before the affiliate program started that was the main way we got traffic and at this point most of the traffic is still being generated that way and the majority of it is coming from our own sites due to the non affiliate marketing we do. If we were cheating the others on our toplists, don't you think they would have suspended the accounts by now considering the toplists have been going for a few years?
If anything the affiliates benefit from our own sites being the top ranking, since their cookies carry through and they are getting paid on sales made to sites that aren't even in the affiliate program.

RickJ, I don't know who you are or what sites you run, but I do play fair. I may not have a lot of affiliates, Yes Nick I [b}do[/b] have affiliates, but I bend over backwards to do what I can for them. If they need specific content that's not in the free content area, I give it to them. If they need text for galleries, I write it for them. I email those who aren't doing as well as others and ask if I can help them with marketing. I also pull all the webmaster content for updates, make the FHG's, do all promotion, troll the boards and anything else that needs to be done. I don't have people working for me. My partner handles the sites, but as far as the affiliate program, it's just me. Now you may have so much money and so much free time that you can spend it doing what you can to take me down, but I don't have the time for all this. So I'll tell you what, I'll buy you a dozen Krispy Kremes if you get the fuck off my case and just let me do my work.

You don't like my sites. Fine, I don't give a shit if you do or not. My affiliates who are actively promoting are getting sales. Sales are increasing every week and the affiliates will be pleased with the rebills they'll be getting. We have members of Dixie that have been with us for years. Sure, most of my affiliates are little fish who are only getting one or two sales a day (and I do have 2 that are doing between 5 and 15 a day) and I'm ok with that for now. It's building slowly, but it's building and I don't have to answer to you or anyone else for my program being small. So you and Rick and anyone else that has a problem with me can just go take a flying fuck at a rolling donut.
