I am curious as to what makes someone a newbie.

And also what constitutes someone who is oprano 'family'.

I personally feel there is a distinct grey area right in the middle there, which I feel I fall into ... someone who is not a newbie, but has had over half a decade of experience in the industry. Yet most of that experiece was working for 'other people', so now that I am trying to put those concepts I learnt and new ideas I have to good use for myself, Im still finding alot of things I need to learn about. I'm sort of a newbie oldie.

Where do i fit in?

you are not a newbie you are an EXEMPLOYEE that spent 5 years working for someone and thought it was easy to do it on your own. It is not easy but we are here to help

you have serveral kinds of newbies

1.newbies with skills = those that know about htmls and shit but just started in porn cause they heard it could make money

2.lazy newbies = those that ask around to see if someone gives them the magic key to making money and don't like to read instructions or how to manuals

3.dumb newbies = eerm hmmm shit ahh those are the lazy newbies that after asking they don't understand.

i was lucky i had a partner back in the days that was good with scripts and shit so you can say he was like a mentor so i did not do much newbie shit cause he already knew plus he got me to meet a lot of people. back in the days you did your stuff made your money and thats it. webmaster boards were used mostly for spam and getting link trades going.

but yeah we were all newbies once most of the ones here were newbies with skills you do however get the dumb and lazy that run a site and dont even know what a harddrive is. those are the ones that spend lots of money on tech support and make hosting a great business LOL
