Heres an interesting note i found on an interview with captured most wanted,Abu Musab al-Zarqawi

"Reuters reports Abu Musab al-Zarqawi issued a tape in which he denounced democracy as un-Islamic and warned of Shiite influence. He complained that the US was just using democracy as a cover for imperialist aggression, and added that democracy makes the people the source of authority, rather than scripture"

So is democracy anti-islamic? there are plenty of islamic democracies. But he has a point (FWIW coming from a fucking terrorist), in the true form of Islam, god is law.
