Soccer is one of the hardest sports to be in condition for. Much harder than basketball or football. have you seen the size of a soccer field at that level, and they dont get to break between plays
I would compare the conditioning for soccer much like that for tour cycling, except harder. I knew a bunch of collegiate soccer players, and their conditioning was a lot harder than my collegiate football conditioning. No way i could have competed in soccer.
